About Me

Born and raised in southern West Virginia, Michael learned story telling from the Scotch-Irish tall-tale masters in the tradition of Paul Bunyan and John Henry.  He started writing--really writing--while in the Air Force where he authored (and still waiting to publish) horror novels.

Michael graduated from West Virginia University where he studied electrical engineering and from Wheeling Jesuit University where he received an MBA. Prior to becoming a novelist, Michael's career took him through the worlds of energy, manufacturing and telecom.

His love for story telling matured into the creation of the American patriot--Liam Chase Curran--and his debut, The Last Witness. He has also authored many short stories and non-fiction essays on Americanism; but more about that later.

When he's not writing, he either has guitar on his shoulder or is coaching youth basketball.  He resides in the Cincinnati area with his wife and daughter.
